June 2, 2024 – LOUISVILLE, KY
On May 31, 2024, I was literally “thrown out” of a weekly public gathering called the “Bishops Table.” During that meeting, a JCPS teacher stood up and spoke for several minutes about a petition she was starting and was asking everyone to sign. The description she gave of her activities would have been a violation of district policy, and the email address she claimed would send to the entire district was really just one school. This caught my attention for many reasons, which I detail in the post I make about the incident, but in searching the internet for more information about the legislation that she needed to be made into an emergency order, I found this. It would appear two days after the event is when the petition was created and at the time of it’s discovery (June 26, 2024) it had nine signatures, only one of which is visible and that is the creator herself.
